DM FOR ART

DM for Art is a series of paintings of the men who send strange and peculiar messages to me through Instagram’s direct message (DM). The purpose of this conceptual series is to bring attention to the sexual harassment women experience while on social media. Not all compliments make women feel good, in this case, they make me feel uncomfortable. I use this art as an outlet to illustrate my voice on societal issues women face on a daily basis and create unique art that communicates a deeper message.
